Purpose and description of the content of education:
The civil law module - the obligation part includes selected, most important issues of the general part and the detailed part of obligations. Its aim is to familiarize the student with the law of obligations to a degree that goes beyond the knowledge of the basic principles and institutions of the law of obligations. The knowledge acquired in this subject is also very important for understanding the institutions of civil law discussed outside the scope of the law of obligations (property law, family law, inheritance law, private international law). The module aims to familiarize the student with the fundamental institutions of the law of obligations. It includes in particular such issues as: the concept of obligation, sources of obligations, the concept and types of performance, debt and liability, contracts, their types, content, principles regarding the performance and effects of non-performance of obligations, torts, unjust enrichment, reasons for the termination of the obligation relationship and changes in the subject. The detailed part of obligations includes: statutory types of contracts and selected unnamed contracts. As part of the statutory types of contracts, selected contracts from individual groups of contracts are usually discussed. This includes: agreements on the transfer of rights (e.g. sales agreement), agreements on the use of things (e.g. lease, tenancy and leasing agreement), agreements on the provision of services (e.g. contract of mandate, agency and commission), license agreements and agreements on the transfer of copyright property rights, as well as a company agreement, insurance agreement, bank surety and guarantee, transfer. The lecture may also include basic knowledge on securities and legitimizing signs.
