Semester: summer semester 2025/2026

Form of verification: course work

Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the module is for students to acquire knowledge, skills, and social competences related to the academic discipline of constitutional law. This refers to the broadly understood domain of the functioning of state authority (state system). The module focuses on the principles and structure of constitutional arrangements in force in Poland, but it presents them in a broad comparative legal context, including solutions typical for EU member states and the United States of America. The acquired knowledge is intended to enable students to understand the role of the constitution in shaping the state's order, including its influence on political processes and the position of the individual within the state. The skills gained should allow students to apply constitutional law instruments in their professional (legal) practice. The social competences developed through the module are meant to equip students to independently analyze events, phenomena, and social situations related to the functioning of the so-called public domain.
