Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the module is for students to acquire knowledge, skills, and social competences related to the academic discipline of constitutional law. This involves the broadly understood area of the functioning of state authority (the state system). The module focuses on the principles and structure of the constitutional arrangements currently in force in Poland, but presents them against a broad comparative legal background, including typical solutions from EU member states and the United States of America.
The knowledge acquired is intended to enable students to understand the role of the constitution in shaping the state order, including its influence on political processes and the position of the individual within the state. The acquired skills should allow students to apply constitutional law instruments in their professional (legal) practice. The intended social competences of the module should enable students to independently analyze events, phenomena, and social situations connected with the functioning of the public domain. |
