General and inorganic chemistry III Field of study: Biology
Programme code: W2-S1BI19.2025

Module name: General and inorganic chemistry III
Module code: 1BL_25_99
Programme code: W2-S1BI19.2025
Semester: summer semester 2027/2028
Language of instruction: Polish
Form of verification: course work
ECTS credits: 4
Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the module is to familiarise students with advanced topics in general and inorganic chemistry in the context of teacher training, in particular with the chemical properties of d-block elements and their selected compounds. The content covers methods of obtaining these compounds, predicting their properties and reactivity, as well as practical applications. Laboratory classes develop the ability to plan and carry out chemical reactions and to prepare reports on experiments. The module develops independence in searching for scientific information and improving professional competencies, taking into account the principles of safe work in the laboratory.
