Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module covers the most important issues of the general part of civil law. It is designed to familiarize the student with the basic principles and institutions of civil law, without which it is impossible to study other subjects of civil (private) law and private international law. It covers introductory issues, i.e.: the concept and principles of civil law, sources of law, types of legal norms. Subsequently, within this subject are considered: subjects of civil law, i.e. natural persons, legal persons and organizational units without legal personality, but endowed with legal capacity (with particular emphasis on the personal property of civil law subjects), objects of civil law relations and subjective rights, as well as rights on intangible property and their protection. The subject matter further includes: legal events and legal actions (in particular, unilateral declaration of will, contracts), conclusion of a contract, interpretation of a declaration of will, prerequisites for the validity of a legal action, i.e. (in addition to legal capacity): form of legal actions, defects in will declarations, content of legal actions filling in the gaps and limits of the parties' freedom in shaping the content of legal actions, sanctions of defective legal actions, the problem of antiquity . Within the framework of representation, statutory representation, power of attorney and proxy are discussed.
