Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of the internship is: Learning about the structure of tasks and functions of cultural and educational institutions or companies operating in the chosen specialization. Getting to know the realities of professional work in institutions that popularize and promote art or are related to art marketing or companies operating in the chosen specialization. Expanding knowledge and practical skills regarding techniques, technologies and materials used in projects in the field of fine arts or applied arts. Practical application and verification of skills acquired during classes in workshop workshops. Shaping skills necessary in future professional work. Preparing the student for independence and responsibility for the tasks entrusted to them. Creating favorable conditions for the student's professional activity on the labor market. The specificity of the University, its diversity, its model – universe (different disciplines, fields, ideas, skills and knowledge) encourage the diversification of internships into external and internal ones, carried out at the University, in its subordinate units, such as the University Gazette, University Publishing House, University Gallery and other galleries and exhibition points operating within the University of Silesia. This form of internship gives the student the opportunity to thoroughly familiarize themselves with the entire universe of the University, and this value is part of the mission of the University of Silesia. Internal internships enable the realization of appropriate educational outcomes, because they include exhibition activities, team work, design work, artistic and organizational activity.
