Purpose and description of the content of education:
The studio of engaged art aims to respond to the problems and challenges of the reality surrounding us. It also involves composing responses to a diagnosed problem of social origin through multilayered action. Beyond the formal layer (the decision about the medium and tools is made after diagnosing the problem), there is a necessary social, educational, and disseminating layer. The final effect should take into account the well-being of the community (not only human), the environment, and the economy. The subject of reflection are the issues identified and subsequently diagnosed in social reality. Working within the studio involves acquiring skills in diagnosis, determining actions, choosing the appropriate medium and tools, designing social engagement/implementation (educational project, social campaign), as well as a visual solution. The response development also includes design thinking methods, participatory processes, selected techniques, and research tools from various scientific disciplines.
