Purpose and description of the content of education:
The Studio of Engaged Art aims to respond to the problems and challenges of the reality surrounding us. It also involves composing responses to a diagnosed problem of social origin through a multilayered action. Beyond the formal layer (the decision about the medium and tools is made after identifying the problem), there is a necessary socializing, educational, and popularizing layer. The final effect should take into account the well-being of the community (not only human), the environment, and the economy. The subject of contemplation includes problems that have been noticed and subsequently diagnosed in social reality. Working within the studio involves acquiring skills in diagnosing, determining procedures, choosing the right medium and tools, designing socialization/implementation (educational project, social campaign) as well as visual solutions. The response development also includes design thinking methods, participatory processes, selected techniques, and research tools from various scientific disciplines.
