Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module covers content from the field of Psychology necessary to obtain general psychological and pedagogical preparation. List of content covered in the module: 1. Psychological concepts of man and interpretation of student behavior and situations at school. Psychological Context of designing educational processes. 2. Basic concepts of Psychology (cognitive processes, perception, reception and processing of information, speech, thinking, reasoning, learning and memory; attention, emotions, motivation, abilities and talents). 3. Models of development, development factors, development stages. 4. Individual differences (intelligence, temperament, cognitive style). 5. Personality. 6. Basic issues from Social Psychology (attitudes, stereotypes and prejudices; concept and determinants of social behavior; empathy, assertive and submissive behavior; rules of cooperation). 7. Concept of Psychological stress and coping processes. 8. Teacher burnout - causes, mechanisms, prevention. 9. The issue of norm and pathology, health (mental) and its disorders. Developmental disorders. Pervasive developmental disorders. 10. Emotional, anxiety, mood and eating disorders. 11. The problem of aggression and violence. 12. The issue of addictions (including "modern" addictions). 13. Physical and intellectual disabilities and their psychological consequences. 14. The psychological context of working with students with special educational needs. 15. Principles of constructing class and school health promotion and prevention programs
