Purpose and description of the content of education:
Celem kursu jest konfrontacja teorii dotyczącej filmowej narracji z praktyką reżysera filmowego. Ośrodkiem modułu są zajęcia analizujące strategie narracyjne w kinie gatunków: w filmach noir, kryminalnych, gangsterskich, horrorach, filmach drogi, oraz thrillerach politycznych. Ćwiczenia składają się z trzech części – rozważań teoretycznych, projekcji filmowych oraz realizacji mini scenki, odnoszącej się do omawianego zagadnienia. Idąc za wyzwaniami współczesności, obok pojedynczego dzieła filmowego, studiujemy również narrację w „zamkniętym” serialu telewizyjnym. Szukając związków i zależności między tradycyjnie pojmowanym językiem filmu a językiem serialu, przyglądamy się strategiom narracyjnym w wielowątkowych, swobodnie igrających z czasem i przestrzenią, zmutowanych gatunkowo opowieściach telewizyjnych / połączenie kina noir z dokumentem, kina kostiumowego z fantasy itp. /. Horyzontem modułu jest otwarcie miejsca dla wszechstronnego obcowania z konkretnymi wybranymi dziełami sztuki filmowej, autorstwa najwybitniejszych artystów kina oraz – poprzez te spotkania – wykształcenie umiejętności odnajdywania w filmach struktur i założeń narracyjnych. Kontekstem dla naszych rozważań jest refleksja na temat wzajemnego przenikania się strategii narracyjnych we współczesnej literaturze popularnej, komiksie, sztuce ulicy, happeningu i filmie. Moduł pierwszy jak i drugi realizują wyznaczone cele w oparciu o twórczość autorów tworzących pod koniec XX stulecia, uwzględniając jednak ich wpływ na dorobek kina współczesnego.
