Purpose and description of the content of education:
Współczesne kino programowo miesza techniki filmowe: łączy dokument z animacją, fabułę z grafiką komunikatorów. Świat Internetu i wszelkiego rodzaju cyfrowych znaków, przez swą intensywną obecność w codziennym życiu, wkroczył na ekran: początkowo jako fabularny ozdobnik, a dzisiaj coraz częściej jako ważny element filmowej narracji, porządkujący filmowy materiał, uzupełniający o treści niemożliwe do "analogowej" realizacji, umożliwiający śledzenie wszelkiego rodzaju komunikatorów, wreszcie pozwalający na równoległe, wielowątkowe opowiadanie (napisy i znaki, piktogramy wypełniające część kadru, podział ekranu, wzajemne relacje między wydzielonymi częściami ekranu i tp.). Celem zajęć jest wprowadzenie studenta w świat wiedzy z pogranicza estetyki i efektów specjalnych; przyswojenie podstawowych pojęć, takich jak: znak, związek i zależność między znakami, symbol graficzny; omówienie założeń typografii, funkcji i czytelności "napisów", rodzajów krojów pisma; przybliżenie możliwości cyfrowych efektów specjalnych, w zakresie nakładania warstw - tekstów, znaków graficznych, filmów - na poszczególne klatki filmu.
