Purpose and description of the content of education:
Moduł ten ma na celu wsparcie studenta w jego dążeniu do uzyskania biegłości warsztatowej oraz w budowaniu świadomości artystycznej w dziedzinie fotografii jako suwerennej dyscypliny artystycznej. Cel ten realizowany będzie, między innymi, poprzez analizę, wraz z wykładowcą, wybitnych dzieł, postaw twórczych i osobowości artystycznych z dziedziny fotografii w ujęciu historycznym i w czasie nam współczesnym. Szczególna uwaga zwrócona zostanie na świadome użycie przez artystów typowych dla fotografii środków wyrazu oraz na walory estetyczne i formalne analizowanych dzieł. Kurs szczególną uwagę zwraca na aspekty związane z dokumentalnością fotografii jako wiarygodnego medium informacyjnego oraz odautorskiej relacji fotograficznej. Szczególną rolę pełni w tej tematyce reportaż fotograficzny. Jest on rozumiany jako indywidualny opis zdarzenia za pomocą serii obrazów fotograficznych. Obok umiejętności budowania cyklu, szczególna uwaga będzie zwrócona na konsekwentną wyrazistą i świadomą formę fotografii. Fotografia w stylu tzw. decydujących momentów oraz fotografia tzw. uliczna. Uwypuklona tu będzie cecha migawkowości fotografii i jej zdolności do tzw. "zamrożenia czasu". Istotne będą także walory estetyczne fotografii. Tekst w fotografii dokumentalnej - wzajemne oddziaływanie obrazu i słowa; próba budowania narracji na bazie opisu jako integralnej części obrazu fotograficznego. Tzw. fotografia społeczno-socjologiczna - uwrażliwienie na aspekty humanistyczne poprzez medium fotografii. Relacja fotograficzna, gdzie forma obrazu staje się "przeźroczysta", a autor obrazów staje się możliwie obiektywnym sprawozdawcą. Studenci będą zachęcani w ramach kursu do kształtowania nowych postaw twórczych, poszukiwania oryginalnych środków wyrazu oraz formy i tematyki fotografii, co powinno owocować nowatorskimi i indywidualnymi projektami artystycznymi w ramach samodzielnie wykonywanych przez studentów obowiązkowych tematów fotograficznych.
