Purpose and description of the content of education:
Cele i sposób realizacji modułu określa jego odbiorca. W tym przypadku jest to każdorazowo student jednego z dwóch kierunków artystycznych uczący się zawodu reżysera lub realizatora zdjęć, a w związku z tym – w ramach innych modułów – zdobywający również wiedzę i kształcący umiejętności niezbędne dla napisania oryginalnego scenariusza filmowego/telewizyjnego i dokonania adaptacji tekstu literackiego do struktury filmowej/telewizyjnej. Niniejszy moduł wprowadza studenta w obszar wiedzy o literaturze, mając na uwadze, dające znać o sobie w literackim programie filmu, liczne „niebezpieczne związki” i „powinowactwa z wyboru” między dziedziną literacką a filmową. Zadaniem modułu jest zaszczepienie przekonania, że filmowiec może wiele nauczyć się od pisarza i stymulowanie wzrostu ogólnej kultury literackiej studenta. Swoje zadania moduł realizuje poprzez omówienie wybranych arcydzieł literatury światowej z kręgu sztuki dramatu i obszaru powieści/ opowiadania. Wspomagany przez eseistyczne i analityczne pisma wybitnych twórców literatury, student poznaje tajniki poetyki sztuki opowiadania, kompozycji formalnej utworu, zasad tworzenia konfliktu dramatycznego i konstruowania bohatera, a także – bardziej ogólnie – zapoznaje się z refleksją uznanych autorów nad fenomenem sztuki słowa, które powołało ich na swoją służbę
