Purpose and description of the content of education:
W ramach modułu student zdobywa wiedzę teoretyczną na temat systemów mediów w Europie i na świecie, a także rozwija umiejętności praktyczne i kompetencje społeczne z zakresu mediów i komunikowania. Pierwsza część modułu realizowana jest w formie wykładów z elementami dyskusji kierowanej. Ma ona na celu zapoznanie studentów z poszczególnymi zagadnieniami teoretycznymi dot. systemów medialnych w Polsce, Europie i na świecie. Drugą część modułu stanowią ćwiczenia które mają charakter praktyczny i pozwalają wykorzystać zdobytą na wykładach wiedzę teoretyczną. W ramach ćwiczeń, studenci realizują pracę grupową na zadany temat składającą się z trzech elementów tzn. pisemnego referatu, ustnej prezentacji oraz towarzyszącej jej prezentacji multimedialnej. Praca grupowa pozwala studentom rozwinąć umiejętności i kompetencje społeczne poprzez samodzielne utworzenie czteroosobowych zespołów, a następnie dokonanie podziału obowiązków i współpracę w grupie. Referat pisemny pozwala wykorzystać zdobytą na wykładach wiedzę teoretyczną, a także informacje zawarte w obowiązkowej literaturze przedmiotu. Ponadto, student w swojej pracy pisemnej jest zobligowany do podania przypisów i bibliografii będąc świadomym konieczności ochrony praw autorskich. Ustna prezentacja referatu ma za zadanie rozwinąć umiejętność komunikowania z otoczeniem. Prezentacja multimedialna stanowi wizualne uzupełnienie prezentacji werbalnej. O jej formie i charakterze decydują studenci. W jej przygotowaniu powinny zostać wykorzystane zarówno tradycyjne jak i nowe media. Prezentację danej grupy kończy dyskusja dotycząca prezentowanego tematu, której kierunek nadaje prowadzący. Studenci zachęcani są do zadawania pytań, wyrażania swoich opinii oraz analizowania zaprezentowanych treści i próby interpretacji przedstawionych problemów. Dyskusja ma za zadanie również zachęcić studentów do samodzielnego poszerzenia wiedzy zdobytej na zajęciach.
