Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module explores the complex dynamics of contemporary cities and urban areas from a geographical perspective. Processes such as gentrification, suburbanization, spatial segregation, revitalization, the development of smart cities and the challenges of managing urban space are analyzed. The module also discusses the role of geography in urban planning processes, including social participation, sustainable urban development and resolving spatial conflicts. Students analyze case studies from different regions of the world.
