Purpose and description of the content of education:
The subject analyzes the complex phenomenon of tourism from an in-depth geographical perspective, treating it as a significant force shaping space and influencing the natural environment, socio-cultural structures and economic processes on various spatial scales. It covers issues related to the geography of consumption and production of tourist space, spatial organization of the tourism system (entities, infrastructure, tourist traffic), the impact of tourism on regional and local dynamics, as well as the challenges of sustainable development of tourism and destination management. The subject develops skills in critical analysis, assessment of the impact of tourism on the landscape and local communities, and the application of geographical methods in tourism research and planning.
