Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module is devoted to geographical aspects of global and regional climate change. The causes, mechanisms and consequences of climate change for individual components of the natural environment (hydrosphere, lithosphere, biosphere) and socio-economic systems are analyzed. Particular emphasis is placed on the spatial differentiation of regional sensitivity to the effects of climate change and on strategies for adaptation and mitigation of these changes at different spatial scales. Students explore methods for assessing climate risk and planning adaptation measures.
