Meteorology and synoptic climatology Field of study: Geography
Programme code: W2-S2GF19.2025

Module name: Meteorology and synoptic climatology
Module code: W2-GFO-S2-001
Programme code: W2-S2GF19.2025
Semester: winter semester 2025/2026
Language of instruction: Polish
Form of verification: course work
ECTS credits: 2
Purpose and description of the content of education:
The content of the module enables the student to understand the role played by dynamic processes in the atmosphere, with particular emphasis on atmospheric circulation, in shaping weather and climate on various spatial and temporal scales, and to learn about computer tools used to analyze these processes. The student acquires the skills to analyze the degree of dependence between the dynamic features of the atmosphere and climate elements, using computer tools, statistics, the laws of physics, and the basics of astronomy.
List of modules that must be completed before starting this module (if necessary): not applicable
Learning outcome of the module Codes of the learning outcomes of the programme to which the learning outcome of the module is related [level of competence: scale 1-5]
