Purpose and description of the content of education:
The course "Civil Opinions" is designed to introduce students to the issues involved in providing psychological opinions in civil cases. The course is designed to prepare students to work effectively as court experts, skillfully drafting and presenting opinions in a way that the court can understand. The content of the course includes analysis of cases requiring psychological opinions in civil cases, such as compensation or capacity issues. Students will learn psychological assessment techniques, principles and ethics in the work of a forensic expert, as well as the science of communicating effective and accurate conclusions. The goal of the course is not only to acquire theoretical knowledge, but also to develop the practical skills needed to effectively and professionally perform the role of a forensic psychologist in civil cases.
