Purpose and description of the content of education:
W ramach modułu studenci zdobywają wiedzę teoretyczną z zakresu sztuki wizualizacji informacji: zapoznają się z terminologią, poznają fakty z historii sztuki i projektowania informacji. Zyskują orientację w tendencjach rozwoju technologii wizualnych. Uczą się dostrzegać specyfikę komunikatów wizualnych i analizować różnorodne aspekty wartościowania poziomu komunikatu (osobnicze – fizjologiczne i psychologiczne, socjologiczne, technologiczne itp.) ich funkcjonowania w życiu społecznym. Studenci pozyskują ogólną wiedzę metodyczną dotyczącą zasad projektowania graficznego, z uwzględnieniem zagadnień dotyczących kompozycji, doboru kolorów, typografii, a także etapów procesu projektowania wizualnego. Zasadniczym celem ćwiczeń jest przygotowanie studentów do krytycznej analizy, a w perspektywie także samodzielnego projektowania efektywnych przekazów wizualnych.

Student zna specyfikę wizualizacji informacji i rozumie jej rolę w komunikacji społecznej, zwłaszcza w kontekście kultury współczesnej, ale także historycznej. Rozpoznaje różne uwarunkowania procesów komunikacji wizualnej i jest świadomy ich wpływu na percepcję i recepcję informacji przez różnych użytkowników. [SWI02_1]
