Radiation Protection II Field of study: Medical Physics
Programme code: W4-S1FM19.2025

Module name: Radiation Protection II
Module code: W4-FM-DZ-S1-7-23-44
Programme code: W4-S1FM19.2025
Semester: winter semester 2028/2029
Language of instruction: Polish
Form of verification: exam
ECTS credits: 4
Purpose and description of the content of education:
During tutorial sessions, the following calculations are performed: Calculation of equivalent and effective doses, taking into account the weighting factors associated with the type of radiation and the irradiated tissue. Utilization of the radioactive decay law. Calculation of absorbed doses for gamma radiation from point sources, considering shielding materials, and for collimated beams, estimation of electron range. Determination of facility classifications. Calculation of neutron doses based on source strengths. Calculation of doses from external contamination.
