Purpose and description of the content of education:
Obligatory subject for the specialization: Clinical dosimetry. During the lecture, the student gets acquainted with the following topics: • Medical computer network architecture, Hospital Information System, electronic medical history, databases • Principles of creating medical databases and organization of telemedicine systems • Medical data exchange standards and aspects of their security: security mechanisms, encryption methods • Decision support • Fields of application of telemedicine, the basics of telemedical network and e-medicine During laboratory classes, the student: • Acquires skills to work with medical databases • Learns to create simple macros and perform calculations on databases, eg using Excel • Learns to design simple databases, eg using Access • Learns relational databases, queries • Creates forms and reports used in hospital IT systems.
