Purpose and description of the content of education:
The Biochemistry module aims to familiarise students with the fundamentals of biochemistry, covering the chemical structure and properties of molecules that are components of living cells. Students will be introduced to the fundamental fundamentals of organisms, tissues and cell function, which includes issues of enzymology and biochemical reaction mechanisms involved in the synthesis and degradation of macromolecules, signalling, transport, movement and transfer of genetic information.

The student understands the civilizational importance of biochemistry as an interdisciplinary science combining biology, physics, chemistry and medicine. [E1]
