Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the module is to provide information on the anatomy of the eye. During the course, the student will acquire knowledge and understanding in the following thematic areas: Position of the eyeball and topographic anatomy of the orbit; Anatomical structure of the eye: layers of the eyeball and their function; Contents of the eyeball (anterior and posterior segments of the eye): anterior and posterior chambers, cornea, lens, vitreous body, retina; The path of light rays in the eye; production and circulation of aqueous humor; Protective apparatus of the eye: eyelids, conjunctiva, tear organ; Eye movements and oculomotor muscles. |
