| Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the Technical Metrology module is to provide students with a basic understanding of general metrology, with a focus on the metrology of geometric and electrical quantities. During the course, students will learn the basics of measurement error theory, methods for calculating measurement uncertainty, and the various stages of the measurement process. They will also become familiar with the structure, operation, and properties of measuring tools and instruments, including new generation computer-aided instruments. They will also acquire knowledge on documenting the measurement process in accordance with the ISO 9000 series of quality management standards. The knowledge gained will enable them to acquire practical skills in using basic measurement equipment and the ability to correctly analyze and interpret measurement results. |
