Purpose and description of the content of education: | The module aims to familiarize students with the issues of paleogeography and geology of the Quaternary, including: the geological division of the Quaternary, the causes and course of climate change in the Quaternary, environmental changes, including vegetation and terrain, typical Quaternary sediments. The student also learns about research methods used in the reconstruction of environmental changes in the Quaternary, including palynological, malacological, paleobotanical, sedimentological methods and methods of relative and absolute dating. |
