Purpose and description of the content of education: | The Open Source GIS Software in Environmental Studies module allows students to prepare for the state exam and obtain the ECDL EPP GIS certificate module 2 (Basics of Geographic Information Systems GIS) and 3 (GIS Software). It familiarizes students with the offer of free GIS programs available on the Internet, their specificity and the possibilities of using them in environmental studies as an alternative to commercial software. It allows critically analyzing and choosing both the type of software and the source of information. |
