Purpose and description of the content of education: | The aim of the module is for the student to acquire knowledge and skills in the field of broadly understood automatic meteorological stations. The student
gains knowledge about the types of measurement stations and the measurement sensors used in them. He/she becomes familiar with the most important principles
of location of measurement stations, operation and servicing of measurement sensors, construction and programming of ASM recorders and methods of downloading data from them. He/she also becomes familiar with the methods of visualization and interpretation of the acquired data with particular emphasis on explaining differences in
measurements and measurement errors that occurred |

Learning outcome of the module | Codes of the learning outcomes of the programme to which the learning outcome of the module is related [level of competence: scale 1-5] |
---|---|
the student has knowledge of meteorological measurements and observations at climatological and synoptic stations, including instrumental measurements and the organization of data in databases [W2-GF-S2-007 _1] |
KGG2_W02 [2/5] |
is able to obtain and interpret instrumental data and, based on their analysis, formulate appropriate conclusions. Based on data from various databases and theoretical knowledge, is able to describe, analyze and interpret the course of measurements and the causes of measurement errors, as well as to formulate critical opinions and independently propose solutions using the appropriate research method [W2-GF-S2-007 _2] |
KGG2_W03 [4/5] |
demonstrates the ability to critically analyze and select information from various data sources and correctly interprets and explains natural phenomena, as well as the mutual relationships between them. Has the ability to practically use the acquired knowledge in various field studies in the field of meteorology and environmental monitoring [W2-GF-S2-007 _3] |
