Purpose and description of the content of education:
The student becomes familiar with the basic sources of information used in reconstructing landscape changes with particular emphasis on archival maps. The student is able to indicate errors in data sources and estimate them and assess the quality of source data. The student is able to select the appropriate calibration method for archival maps. The student acquires the ability to design a database and performs vectorization of archival map content. The student is able to properly aggregate and generalize source data. The student is able to select landscape metrics for analyzing landscape changes and interpret them correctly. The student becomes familiar with the basic methods of presenting landscape changes on a map.
