Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module covers knowledge in the field of glaciology with particular emphasis on issues related to mass balance, energy balance, glacier dynamics and hydrology, the impact of glacier recession on the rise of the world ocean. The module will allow students to familiarize themselves with the methodology of field measurements and the latest remote sensing techniques used in glaciology. Particular emphasis will be placed on the student's work with the latest world literature and the practical use of acquired skills and knowledge.
