Purpose and description of the content of education:
The aim of this module is to develop students' practical skills in translating functional texts and specialized translations. The classes introduce key concepts and terminology relevant to selected types of translations and text genres, and present the stages and strategies of the translation process. Participants learn to use essential translation tools such as glossaries, dictionaries, and selected digital tools. The module emphasizes techniques for working with specialized texts, drawing on knowledge from translation studies, as well as the evaluation and editing of translations.
