Purpose and description of the content of education: | The Landscape in Spatial Planning module aims to familiarize students with the issues of landscape protection and shaping principles and their use in landscape management. Lectures will present problems of recognizing landscape in planning documents, institutions responsible for landscape management, forms of landscape protection, principles of landscape protection and shaping. Issues of landscape education and social participation in landscape shaping will also be outlined. Aspects of improper landscape management will be presented, i.e. the costs of spatial chaos and recognizing landscape in the form of ecosystem services. During exercises, students will analyze and evaluate records concerning landscape in planning documents at various levels and in landscape park protection plans, and will also prepare fragments of landscape reports. They will also assess the landscape using landscape reading stations. |
