Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module introduces students to the basic GIS techniques used in population geography. This topic includes: obtaining population data (due to diverse sources), adapting data for processing in GIS software (editing, geocoding), presenting data using GIS methods (cartograph, cartogram, dot maps, isolines and others), and spatial analyses (population density for a given basic unit - square grid, hexagons, population density profiles, buffering, spatial differences in age and gender structure, education, wealth, origin of the population, population dynamics)
