Purpose and description of the content of education: | The module "GIS applications on the Internet (WebGIS)" is intended to enable students to become familiar with the basic principles of operation and use of GIS applications available for free on the Internet. It indicates the relationships between WebGIS applications and other fields of knowledge and application techniques. It familiarizes students with the basics of work and the wide use of geoportals, which provide a whole range of information about the area. It provides skills in using WebGIS applications and performing spatial analyses using them, data processing and their subsequent transfer to other GIS applications, as well as presenting results in the form of thematic images. |
