ECTS credits: | 3 |
Purpose and description of the content of education: | The student acquires knowledge on the analysis of landscape changes using various methods, such as the repeated ground photography method, analysis
of digital terrain models or analysis of cartographic materials. The student learns about various methods of presenting landscape changes over time, divided
into cartographic and statistical. Various possibilities of using the digital terrain model in landscape research will be discussed. The student
gains the ability to select products derived from the digital terrain model for the purpose of reproducing the range of historical landscapes and elements of cultural heritage. The student becomes familiar with the basic forms of the technique of creating a photographic image. He/she acquires basic knowledge and skills in preparing photographic documentation of the landscape. In addition, the very current topic of solutions to the problems that cities face in connection with climate change, i.e. problems with water and high temperature, will be presented. The discussion will cover tools and strategies for planning blue-green infrastructure, a review of technical solutions and examples of good practices, as well as contemporary and futuristic trends in urban planning related to adaptation to climate change. |
