Purpose and description of the content of education:
the course enables student to increase his knowledge of satellite technology and recent developments in remote sensing. The student participating in the course have an opportunity to familiarize themselves with different methods of analysis of digital images and different applications used in satellite data processing. The student defines, describes and explains concept of use of remote sensing data for monitoring and understanding of fundamental phenomena and processes happened on the earth's surface. Focus is placed on a good working knowledge of remote sensing in geographical information systems, administration managements and scientific research

the student knows the general purpose and applicability of software used for acquisition and processing of remote sensing data. The student applies different methods of digital data processing and can use them in geographical information systems. The student can use remote sensing data in interpretation and presentation of wide spectrum of phenomena and processes taking place on the earth's surface.
