Purpose and description of the content of education:
The Global Socio-Economic Problems module aims to familiarize the student with the intensity, scope and mutual influence of globalization processes. It is important for the student to be able to identify global socio-economic problems and also be able to critically evaluate them. During the lectures, the student will become familiar with theories of globalization, contemporary views on globality, international integration processes, global determinants of information, social and economic development and manifestations of globality in the form of various socio-economic problems. In the exercises, the main areas of interest concern the globalization of production, agriculture, capital flow and trade, as well as the globalization of culture and threats based on the analysis of the current international order. It seems important for the student to gain an independent assessment of the positive and negative effects of globalization.
