Module code: | KN-F-S2-PF-Pr |
Language of instruction: | Polish |
Form of verification: | course work |
ECTS credits: | 6 |
Purpose and description of the content of education: | The course aims to prepare future teachers for effectively popularizing physics knowledge through various forms of educational activities, including workshops, demonstrations, and multimedia projects.
As part of the course, students will develop their own physics experiment demonstrations, which they can use in science popularization while ensuring both the attractiveness and scientific accuracy of their presentations. The workshops will include the analysis and evaluation of popular science sources, such as films, articles, and online experiments, in terms of their alignment with scientific knowledge and methodology.
Students will work on their own science communication projects, which may take the form of educational films, interactive presentations, lesson demonstration scripts, or the organization of science events. During the classes, there will be simulations of conducting demonstrations and experiments for different audience groups, including primary school students, high school students, and adult science enthusiasts. Students will have the opportunity to work in teams on organizing a mini science festival, which will serve as a course summary and a chance to apply their acquired skills in practice.
The final classes will be dedicated to project evaluation, an analysis of the effectiveness of communication, and reflection on the challenges and difficulties associated with popularizing physics in various social contexts. |
