Purpose and description of the content of education:
W ramach modułu studenci zdobędą wiedzę z zakresu kształtowania się form i funkcji książki drukowanej od XVI w. do końca XVIII w., będą potrafili identyfikować i charakteryzować podmioty rynku książki dawnej, zatem szeroko rozumianej roli książki w kulturze. Poznają zagadnienia obiegu książki drukowanej (autorzy, nakładcy, drukarze, cenzura, bibliopole, introligatorzy) i rękopiśmiennej w kulturze oraz komunikacji społecznej epok dawnych. W wyniku realizacji modułu student będzie potrafił także posłużyć się terminologią, związaną z ewolucją książki XVI-XVIII w., i zastosować ją do opisu procesów bibliologicznych, pojmowanych w aspekcie kierunków rozwoju nauki o książce oraz wiedzy z nauk humanistycznych i społecznych.

Based on knowledge about the functioning of books, institutions, and book people in the society of the 16th - 18th centuries and the relationships between them, students can recognize research problems and propose solutions, identify various types of products of book culture among the products of human activity and confront them with their knowledge. and then apply it to improving the quality of work in book institutions [KHKG03_3]

Students have their knowledge of the critical role of the book, its creators, recipients, and institutions in communicating and creating the cultural heritage of humanity. Based on the acquired knowledge, he can express himself precisely and coherently, both orally and in writing, on topics related to the history of books and related to them, knows the scope of his knowledge and skills, and understands the need for continuous education and development.
