Purpose and description of the content of education:
This module introduces students to the academic study of popular culture. Through discussion and analysis of selected cultural texts—such as film, music, television, or digital media—students begin to explore how popular forms reflect and shape cultural values, identities, and ideologies. The course introduces selected interpretive approaches and methodologies used in cultural analysis and encourages critical thinking about everyday cultural phenomena within broader social and ideological contexts.
