Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module aims to familiarise students with the essence and mechanisms of creating conspiracy narratives and the sources of belief in them. As part of the module, students analyse selected conspiracy narratives (of various backgrounds – including political, economic, historical, religious, medical) and the factors contributing to their spread. Students identify the multi-faced challenges and threats of the growing popularity of conspiracy narratives. In addition, they learn about the methods and tools to counteract them, thus gaining the competencies necessary to function in the digital environment.
