Purpose and description of the content of education: | The subject Climate and Tourism focuses on the analysis of the mutual relationships between climate and tourism, both in the context of the impact of climatic conditions on the tourist attractiveness of regions and the impact of tourism on climate change. During the course, students will become familiar with the basics of climatology, the impact of climate on tourist decisions and methods of minimizing the negative impact of tourism on the natural environment. The subject will provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and analyze the relationship between climate and tourism, as well as to plan and organize tourism in a responsible and sustainable manner. The subject combines elements of climatology, geography, tourism management and environmental protection. The main objective of the subject Climate and Tourism is to familiarize students with the basics of climatology and the impact of climatic conditions on the tourist attractiveness of regions, to develop skills in analyzing the impact of tourism on climate change and methods of minimizing the negative impact of tourism on the natural environment, and to prepare students to plan and organize tourism in a responsible and sustainable manner, taking into account climate change. |
