Purpose and description of the content of education: | Tourism geography is a subject that focuses on the analysis of spatial aspects of tourism, taking into account both natural and socio-economic factors that affect the development and functioning of tourism. As part of the subject, students will become familiar with the theory and practice of tourism geography, including the analysis of the tourist attractiveness of regions, the spatial differentiation of tourism and the impact of tourism on the environment and society. Students will become familiar with key concepts such as tourist space, tourist attractions, tourist infrastructure and sustainable tourism development. The subject is interdisciplinary in nature, combining elements of geography, economics, sociology and tourism management. During the classes, students will analyze specific examples of tourist regions, both in Poland and around the world, to understand how geographical factors affect the development of various forms of tourism. The main objective of the subject Tourism geography is to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to understand and analyze spatial aspects of tourism, to familiarize students with the concepts and theories of tourism geography and their application in practice, and to develop the ability to analyze the tourist attractiveness of regions and the spatial differentiation of tourism |
