Purpose and description of the content of education: | The subject Fundamentals of Sustainable Tourism introduces students to key concepts, principles and practices related to tourism based on sustainable development. During the course, students will become familiar with the philosophy of sustainable tourism, its goals and challenges in the context of global environmental, social and economic problems. The subject includes an analysis of the impact of tourism on ecosystems, local communities and economies, and presents tools and strategies to minimize the negative effects of this activity. The main objective of the subject Fundamentals of Sustainable Tourism is to equip students with knowledge on assessing the environmental, social and economic effects of tourism activities, to prepare students to design sustainable solutions and to shape attitudes of responsibility and ecological awareness |
