Purpose and description of the content of education: | World Tourist Attractions is a subject that focuses on the analysis of various objects and places that attract tourists from all over the world, such as: cultural monuments, natural wonders, national parks, historic cities, pilgrimage sites and modern tourist attractions. Students will become familiar with the characteristics of these places, their history, cultural and natural significance, as well as with the factors that affect their popularity among tourists. The subject is interdisciplinary in nature, combining elements of geography, history, cultural studies and tourism management. During the course, students will analyze specific examples of tourist attractions, both well-known and less popular, to understand how cultural and natural diversity affects tourist attractiveness in sustainable tourism. The main objective of the World Tourist Attractions subject is to familiarize students with the characteristics of the most important tourist attractions in the world, including their history, cultural and natural significance, to develop the ability to analyze and compare tourist attractions in terms of their attractiveness and specificity, and to prepare students to identify factors that affect the popularity of tourist attractions among tourists. |
