Purpose and description of the content of education:
W ramach modułu studenci zdobędą wiedzę z zakresu kształtowania się i rozwoju książki jako obiektu sztuki. Realizacja modułu ma pozwolić studentowi na zdefiniowanie pojęcia książki artystycznej, wyróżnienie jej charakterystycznych cech, zobrazowanie stadiów powstawania (techniki druku, ilustracji, oprawy artystyczne) oraz form artystycznej kreacji (np. instalacje). Student powinien móc wskazać najważniejsze style książki jako dzieła sztuki, dysponować wiedzą o twórcach książki artystycznej w Polsce i za granicą oraz wiedzieć, jakie instytucje książki (organizacje bibliofilskie, muzea książki i druku, wydawnictwa artystyczne) oraz portale internetowe są związane z tą tematyką.

Student ma wiedzę o podstawowej metodologii, terminologii i kierunkach rozwoju sztuki w świetle których lokuje książkę. Elementy artystycznej kreacji książki przekłada na uwarunkowania kulturowe kształtowania się budowy książek, typografii książki, komunikacji książki jako obiektu sztuki. [SK02_01]

Dysponuje wiedzą o różnicach kulturowych, estetycznych, historycznych przekładających się na strukturę materiałoznawczą, architektoniczną oraz komunikacyjną książki. Poznane zagadnienia wykorzystuje do inicjowania działalności kulturotwórczej i jest gotów do aktywnego działania na rzecz zachowania dziedzictwa kulturowego książki. [SK02_02]

Potrafi wymienić i opisać stadia powstawania oraz drukowania książek artystycznych, techniki ilustrowania, oprawy artystyczne oraz ukształtowanie edytorsko-poligraficzne, a także cyfrowe aspekty różnego typu wydawnictw oraz jest przygotowany, by postrzegać książkę jako formę artystycznej kreacji, wskazać, porównać i ocenić najważniejsze style książki jako dzieła sztuki.
