Purpose and description of the content of education:
This is a practical module dedicated to the exploration, analysis and creative interpretation of vocal and instrumental folk music. Students will become familiar with the repertoire, performance techniques and cultural context of traditional musical forms. During the workshops, students will gain practical skills, such as the basics of folk singing and playing selected folk instruments. The aim of the classes is to deepen and enrich practical skills related to the professional work of an ethnologist and cultural anthropologist and to learn about the specifics of the activities of contemporary artists involved in broadly understood traditional music. The workshops are intended for people with varying degrees of musical advancement.
