Purpose and description of the content of education:
The module aims to teach students about traditional folk art in Poland and its contemporary, still vital areas. Students will learn about the (time-varying) definitional criteria of folk art, its regional specifics, and its role in traditional culture. The issues presented provide an understanding of folk art in the broad context of official art and the contemporary functioning of folk art in the creative sectors.
