Purpose and description of the content of education: | In this module, students will familiarize themselves with the basics of informetric research (primarily bibliometric and scientometric), explore terminology, its cognitive potential, practical applications, and limitations. They will gain knowledge about information sources and tools used in informetric research, including citation indexes. The module teaches students to conduct simple bibliometric analyses independently and acquaints them with the specifics of working in bibliometric labs/departments in higher education libraries. |
