Purpose and description of the content of education: | During the module, students will acquire knowledge on the development of the forms of printed books from the 16th century to the end of the 18th century. They will be able to identify and characterize the entities of the old book market. They will learn about the circulation of printed books (authors, publishers, printers, censorship, booksellers, bookbinders) and handwritten books in social communication in ancient times. As a result of completing the module, the student will also be able to use terminology related to the evolution of books in the 16th-18th centuries and apply it to describe bibliological processes understood in terms of the directions of development of book science and knowledge from the humanities and social sciences. |
